Our committee is elected by our members every year. The current committee is a dedicated and new team, excited to bring our members a variety of quality and engaging events. They come from different sectors of the University of Bristol and represent various stages of their degrees. We are united by our passion for enabling the discussion of Criminal Justice here at the University of Bristol.
President's Statement
I am honoured to be elected as CJS's President for the year 2025/26, having benefitted greatly from the incredible events provided by last year's wonderful committee. With an exciting lineup of events for our members to look forward to and a membership fee for as low as £3, there's no better time than now to join Bristol Criminal Justice Society!
This committee will strive to provide our members with quality events featuring a variety of speakers across different aspects of the Criminal Justice System, competitions sponsored by local criminal law chambers and firms, and affordable trips to London. I am excited to introduce group court visits to the society, allowing our members to ease into the world of Criminal Justice in action. Additionally, we can't wait to announce our continued collaborations with other societies in the SU as well as events/competitions sponsored by new and returning professionals.
CJS is expanding this year, but we maintain our friendly, approachable atmosphere and fantastic academic and professional value. Our mission is to bring attention to this under-represented, yet fascinating area of law, and I hope you will join us and kickstart your career in Criminal Justice!

Please join us for our annual FREE 'give it a go' debate in the Balloon Bar, and come and say hello to us at the Law Fair and Bristol SU Welcome Fair! Updates are always posted on our instagram, @bristolCJS.
